💦 Aquaparks : 3 mistakes we see (all too) often in the field

On paper, setting up an inflatable water park is simple: you install the modules, open for business, and you’re good to go.
In practice, however, there are three common mistakes… that come at a high cost in terms of safety, customer satisfaction, and reputation.

1️⃣ Confusing customer journeys:
Lost customers, poorly located waiting areas, bottlenecks: when the customer journey isn’t intuitive, everyone gets frustrated more quickly and the team gets worn out faster.

2️⃣ Incorrectly sized capacity:
Too many people at the park = a subpar experience and increased risk.
Not enough people = low profitability.
Finding the right balance requires careful planning well before the season begins, taking into account the water body, the target audience, and the business model.

3️⃣ Underestimating the importance of briefings and the ground crew:
A beautiful park isn’t enough if the rules aren’t understood and reinforced.
Briefings, clear signage, and a visible presence on the water and along the shore: these are the elements that turn a “fun course” into a controlled and safe experience.

At BAW-Sports, we design the modules… but above all, we discuss operations, traffic flow, and safety with our clients. We train the teams and design the required signage.
